All PreK-5th Grade Students
Supply packs are purchased on behalf of the families and will be waiting for the students in their classroom on the student's first day of school. The cost of the supply pack will be added to the student's billing account for payment with August tuition for families enrolled prior to July 15th, and as part of the Enrollment Fee payment for families enrolling after July 15th.
Preschool 3 Year Old Students
Preschool 3 students should provide a 3 or 4 section, foldable nap mat with washable cover. No pillows or blankets allowed.
3rd-5th Grade Students - STEM Class Supplies
3rd-5th grade students are responsible for purchasing their own Raspberry Pi computer and accessories for use in their weekly STEM class. The computer will be theirs to keep so they can continue their STEM enrichment over the summer months as well as for use during future STEM classes at Banff. Please order as soon as possible as Raspberry Pi's typically run out of stock before school begins!
ALL 3RD-5TH GRADE STUDENTS
- Raspberry Pi 5
- Only Vilros or Canakit brands are allowed due to safety and quality issues with other brands. This model is available in a 4GB or 8GB version (8GB recommended). The case must be passively cooled (i.e are not fan-cooled ).
- Multiple purchase options are provided in case one is sold out or backordered. Please order early as these items sell out very fast:
- Wired headphones or ear buds. These should remain at school and not be taken home.
- RPI Accessories:
- HDMI-Micro Adapter
- On/Off switch
- 1 Gallon Ziploc bag (with name written on it)
RETURNING STUDENTS
Kits from last year (versions 4 or 5) may be re-used, provided that kits are not missing parts and all items are in good working order. ALL items on the list above are required, including the on/off switch and Zip loc bag, newly added for this year.
Kits must include:
3rd-5th grade students will be told when to bring their Raspberry Pis and accessories to school - do not send to school on the first day! All items should be labeled with the student's name.
6-12th Grade Supplies
6th-12th grade students are responsible for the purchase (in advance) of their school supplies. These may be purchased at any supply store. Students should always have available general supplies such as pencils, pens, loose-leaf paper, etc. in their lockers.
REQUIRED PERSONAL SUPPLIES (ALL STUDENTS)
- GENERAL SUPPLIES
- 2 1-inch binders (no zip binders as they do not fit in lockers)
- 2 packs of notebook dividers with tabs
- 1 pack of Note Cards (100 ct or higher)
- College-ruled notebook paper
- 5 College-ruled spiral notebooks (with holes)
- 1 package of colored pencils (12 ct or higher)
- Eraser
- Pencil Pouch with: Pencils, Blue or black pens, 1 red pen, highlighters
- Small, handheld pencil sharpener
- Scissors
- Gluestick
- Earbuds or headphones
- Personal container of hand sanitizer (as needed)

- Students enrolled in Physical Science or Chemistry: Scientific Calculator (optional)

- 1 graph paper spiral notebook (with holes)

- Casio and Computer Algebra System (CAS) calculators are not permitted.

REQUIRED COMMUNITY SUPPLIES (ALL STUDENTS)
Each student is responsible for bringing these shared items to school. They can be turned in during New Student Orientation, Locker Setup or to the student's first-period teacher on the first day of school:
- 2 reams (500 pieces) of printer paper
- 2 boxes of facial tissues
- 2 containers of disinfecting wipes (not "baby wipes")
- 1 package of dry-erase markers (4 ct or higher)
- 1 package of 3"x3" sticky/Post-It notes (4 ct or higher)
STEM ELECTIVE SUPPLIES (only students enrolled in the STEM elective)
6th-8th grade STEM students are responsible for purchasing their own Raspberry Pi computer and accessories for use in class daily. The computer will be theirs to keep so they can continue their STEM enrichment over the summer months, and future STEM classes at Banff.

- Raspberry Pi 5 Kit - Only Vilros or Canakit brands are allowed due to safety/quality issues with other kits.
- All RETURNING 7TH-8TH STEM STUDENTS: Students may re-use a Raspberry Pi 5 kit provided the kit is in good working condition, complete with all parts (see contents list below). Incoming 6th grade students will need additional items to convert their kits to suitable ones for this class as the requirements are different than in Lower School.

- In addition, all 6th-8th students are required to have the accessories listed under the “ALL 6th-8th STEM Students” section above. New storage boxes should be purchased each year.
- All RETURNING 6TH STEM STUDENTS: Returning 6th grade students will need additional items to convert their kits to suitable ones for this class as the curriculum requirements are different than Lower School STEM class. If you have a Raspberry Pi 4 kit then you will need to purchase equivalent items from the Vilros and Cana websites, from the Raspberry Pi 4 section, OR purchase a new Raspberry Pi 5 kit:
