Our Founder, Irmgard Banff
The Banff School was founded by Mrs. Irmgard Banff in 1969. Banff was more than just a school for her; it was her life's work. For more than 50 years, the school has grown and developed into the multi-cultural community it is today. It is a school where students, teachers, and parents join together, united in their commitment to fully realize the potential of everyone.
Banff has a unique mixture of American and international families, which allows us to nurture and educate our students in a truly multi-cultural environment. All of these accomplishments are due to Mrs. Banff's vision and commitment to her students, families and her views on education.
We have come a long way since opening our doors and Mrs. Banff was extremely proud of everything that we have achieved. As a life-long educator, Mrs. Banff enjoyed watching our students flourish and grow into creative, independent thinkers who are eager to continue their education through colleges and universities throughout the United States and beyond.
The Banff School Board of Directors and the Banff family are committed to continuing Mrs. Banff's vision for her school through a concerted effort to improve our facilities, staying at the forefront of educational technology and the inclusion of the fine arts within our curriculum.
