WHAT ARE THE DIVISION NAMES?
Lower School: PreSchool, Kindergarten & 1st-5th Grades
Upper School: 6th-12th grades
HOW DO I GET GRADING & ACADEMIC INFORMATION?
Alma is a private and secure Parent/Student Portal that allows you to see complete information specific to your child, including grades, attendance, homework and conduct, as well as other useful school information. You can also communicate with teachers and other school staff online whenever necessary. All you need is an Internet-capable computer or smartphone! New parents will receive specific login instructions during the summer months.
WHAT DOES MY STUDENT NEED TO WEAR?
All students at The Banff School have a required daily uniform in addition to a "Dress Uniform" that is worn on Wednesdays and special events.
HOW DO I SHOW BANFF SPIRIT?
House Spirit Shirts are provided to each student at the beginning of each school year. Additional shirts and other Banff logo clothing items can be purchased from our online spirit store.
WHAT SUPPLIES DO STUDENTS NEED?
Students in Preschool - 5th grade will have their School Supply Pack cost added to their SchoolAdmin billing account for payment as part of the August tuition. Specific costs will be included in the statement emailed from SchoolAdmin mid-July and will also be posted here once supply pack lists are finalized. These Lower School supply packs will be delivered directly to the school and will be waiting in the students' classrooms on the first day of school.
Students in 6th-12th grade will be given a list of supplies to purchase on their own and bring to school on the first day.
WHAT TEXTBOOKS DO UPPER SCHOOL STUDENTS NEED?
Upper School students are responsible for purchasing or renting their own textbooks for the school year. Information and booklists will be published in mid-July.
ARE THERE TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS?
iPads or other digital devices are provided for all students in grades PreK-12th grade. Certain optional Upper School courses may require the use of a personal laptop, but those requirements will be communicated prior to the start of school.
WHAT ARE SCHOOL ARRIVAL TIMES?
Student arrival time for all grades begins at 8:00am
Classes begin promptly at 8:30am
WHAT ARE SCHOOL DISMISSAL TIMES?
PreSchool, Bridge to Kindergarten & Kindergarten - 3:00pm
1st-5th Grades - 3:10pm
Upper School - 3:20pm
If for any reason a student cannot be picked up on time, the office must be notified. Students who are not picked up on time will be sent to afternoon Homework Room and charged $10 for each hour or part thereof. Students will not be released to anyone other than parents or carpool parents unless WRITTEN permission is on file with the office.
HOW DOES CARPOOL WORK?
Please note that cell phone use is restricted during morning and afternoon carpool times. Specific carpool plans for the 2020-2021 school year will be published in mid-July.
IS THERE AFTER-SCHOOL SUPERVISION?
PreSchool & Kindergarten
3:00-6:00pm -- After-Care Activities/Supervision
3:35-5:00pm -- Teacher-supervised homework room
5:00-6:00pm -- After-Care Activities/Supervision

HOW DO I ORDER LUNCH?
The Hot Lunch Program for the 2020-2021 school year is currently being assessed for the 2020-2021 school year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. More information on the status of this service will be communicated later this summer.
