Annual Giving - House Challenge
The Annual giving Campaign helps The Banff School "bridge the gap" between income received for tuition and the cost of programming, curriculum and campus-wide improvements. Each and every contribution helps the school continue to grow and improve.
The goal of Annual Giving is 100% participation, regardless of the dollar amount!
The Annual Giving "House Challenge" is a fun way to participate in the school's Annual Giving Campaign, while also potentially earning points for your student's house!
WAYS TO EARN POINTS FOR YOUR HOUSE:
- The House with the most participation (not highest dollar amount), by the final House Games on Friday, May 22, will earn 500 points for their house added to the final scoreboard!
- For every $1000 a House has donated on their behalf, an additional 100 points will be added to the house's score.
Use the buttons below to contribute to the Annual Giving campaign for your student's House. The goal meters below will update with each contribution letting everyone know which House is in the lead!
But I already pay tuition. Shouldn't that cover all of the costs of educating my child?
As with the case of any private school, the answer is, unfortunately, no. Tuition only covers approximately 90% of the costs of educating each student. Without additional support and funds to cover the 10% gap, the integral components of our rich and robust program, which make Banff special and unique, would be compromised. The school could continue to operate if we didn't host any fundraising endeavors...but it is the extra funds raised from events, like our Annual Giving Campaign, that allow us to continue adding new educational programs, improving our campus, expanding our enrichment offerings and continuing to grow our community. Yes, it is an additional expense, but the contribution from every family is appreciated, no matter the amount.
