Back to School Checklist 2019-2020

With so much to do and prepare for starting a new school year, we have assembled this handy checklist so you don't miss any items!

Jump to your student's division:

PRESCHOOL & BRIDGE TO KINDERGARTEN

Items to complete now:
  • Purchase Uniforms.

  • Complete the House Shirt Size Form

    • Deadline is August 20

    • This step must be completed every year.

    • If you are a new student, you do not need to complete this form. Your t-shirt size was provided during the enrollment process.

  • Order a School Supply Pack.

  • Read the 2019-2020 Student Handbook and digitally sign the Handbook Acknowledgement Form​.

  • Submit official immunization records (using either a form obtained from your doctor's office or this form) to front office.

    • Deadline is August 20

    • This step must be completed every year.

    • If you are a new student and have already submitted this information during the application process, you do not need to submit the information again.

  • All NEW students and all 4 year olds must submit results from Vision & Hearing tests (using either a form obtained from your doctor's office or this form) and submit to front office

  • If your student needs to have prescription medication administered during school hours, complete a "Prescription Medication Authorization" form and submit to front office with the medication.

  • If you wish for your student to have "over-the-counter" medication administered as needed, complete an "OTC Medication Authorization" form and submit to front office with the medication.

  • Mark your calendar for August 19th for "Back to School Orientation" from 3-5pm (drop-in any time)

  • Mark your calendar for August 25th from 2-4pm for our 50th Anniversary Celebration event! Click HERE for more information.

The following items will be available in early August to complete:
  • Order lunch

  • Consider enrolling in one of our optional, after-school programs (with options in dance, art, piano, chess...and more!)

KINDERGARTEN - 5TH GRADE

  • Purchase Uniforms.

  • Complete the House Shirt Size Form

    • Deadline is August 20

    • This step must be completed every year.

    • If you are a new student, you do not need to complete this form. Your t-shirt size was provided during the enrollment process.

  • Order a School Supply Pack.

  • Read the 2019-2020 Student Handbook and digitally sign the Handbook Acknowledgement Form​.

  • Read and digitally sign the K-5 iPad Acceptable Use Policy.

    • Deadline is August 20

    • This step must be completed every year.

  • Submit official immunization records (using either a form obtained from your doctor's office or this form) to front office.

    • Deadline is August 20

    • This step must be completed every year.

    • If you are a new student and have already submitted this information during the application process, you do not need to submit the information again.

  • All NEW students and all students (new and returning) in Kindergarten, 1st grade, 3rd grade and 5th grade, must submit results from Vision & Hearing tests (using either a form obtained from your doctor's office or this form) and submit to front office.

    • Deadline is August 20

  • All girls in 5th grade must submit results from a Scoliosis Exam.

    • Deadline is August 20​

  • For students in grades 3-5: Review the optional "2019 Outdoor Education Trip​" to Mo Ranch in Hunt, TX.

    • Registration deadline is September 2

  • Mark your calendar for August 19th for "Back to School Orientation" from 3-5pm (drop-in any time)

UPPER SCHOOL (6-12)

  • Purchase Uniforms.

  • Complete the House Shirt Size Form

    • If you are a new student, you do not need to complete this form. Your t-shirt size was provided during the enrollment process.

  • Purchase School Supplies.

  • Purchase Textbooks

  • Read the 2019-2020 Student Handbook and digitally sign the Handbook Acknowledgement Form​.

  • Read and digitally sign the iPad Use/Technology Acceptable Use Policy.

  • Submit official immunization records (using either a form obtained from your doctor's office or this form) to front office.

    • Deadline is August 20

    • This step must be completed every year.

    • If you are a new student and have already submitted this information during the application process, you do not need to submit the information again.

  • All NEW students and all 7th graders must submit results from Vision & Hearing tests (using either a form obtained from your doctor's office or this form) and submit to front office.

    • Deadline is August 20

  • All girls in 7th grade and all boys in 8th grade must submit results from a Scoliosis Exam.

    • Deadline is August 20​

  • For students in grades 6-8: Review the optional "Texas Exploration" Experiential Education Trip to Austin, TX.

    • Registration deadline is September 2

  • For students in grades 9-12: Review the optional Experiential Education Trip to New York, NY.

    • Registration deadline is September 2

  • All 6th graders and NEW students, mark your calendar for August 19th for "Back to School Orientation" from 3-4pm.

  • All NEW International (I-20) students, mark your calendar for August 19th for "Back to School Orientation" from 4:30-5:30pm.
