The goal of The Banff School's College Counseling program is to assist in students understanding of the complexities of the college admission process and ultimately in their selection of the colleges that best match their academic and personal interests. Students learn about standardized testing, summer opportunities, the application process, financial aid, college visits and interviews. Throughout the school year, students make multiple visits to area universities. Past trip destinations have included Texas A & M, University of Texas in Austin, overnight trips to St. Thomas University, the University of Houston and Stephen F. Austin University.

Banff School graduates have received approximately half a million dollars each year in college scholarships, or five times per student as the nearest exemplary school district, Cy-Fair I.S.D.

College counseling at The Banff School provides individual advice and advocacy for each student in grades 9 through 12th. Students receive the tools to take responsibility for finding a college and navigating the application process.
